Website review

Before sending you the designs, I had two separate AI reviewers check the website, the way you suggested. Each one scored 10 things that matter from 1 to 10, without seeing my opinion. I fixed what they found and had them score it again. Three rounds.

Reviewer 1: trust and salesWill people trust this store and buy? First impression, trust, search, product pages, pricing, bulk buying, phones.
Reviewer 2: first-time shoppersCan someone who barely uses a computer do it? Tested real tasks, like "I lost my RV key, the lock says CH507".

Scores by design

Gray is the first review, black is now. The green mark is where trust and sales lands once your real details and photos are in (see the list at the bottom).

Biggest things we fixed

  1. Nobody buys the wrong key by mistake. An uncut blank looks like a key that opens a door. Every blank now says "This key won't open your lock yet" before the price. Searches like "house key" or "copy" explain that any hardware store copies house keys while you wait.
  2. A real person and real promises on every page.Phone number in the header. Next to every buy button: shipping cost and timing, 30-day returns on blanks, and a free recut if a key doesn't open the lock.
  3. "Replace a lost key" instead of "Get a key cut".Clearer for people who lost a key. It says which locks it works for (RV, toolbox, cabinet), shows where the code is, and explains it if someone types a key number like KW1 instead.
  4. Search understands normal words."RV key", "car key", "house key" and lock codes like CH507 all go to the right place, from any search box.
  5. Fast ordering for locksmiths.A price list with every quantity price on each row, a quantity box and Add button per item, and a quick order box: paste "KW1 250, SC1 100" and add it all at once.
  6. You always know it worked. After adding, the button says "Added" and an "In your cart, Check out" bar stays on the page. No more accidental double orders.
  7. Easier to read and tap.Darker text, clearer field edges, bigger buttons, the word "Cart" next to the icon, and a search box that's always visible on phones.

What I need from you to reach 9

Both reviewers say the design alone tops out around 8. These are what take it the rest of the way.

  1. Your real phone, email, business address and hours.Trust is the lowest score today (5 out of 10) only because these are placeholders. With them it goes to about 8.
  2. A photo of every blank, all on the same plain background and angle, plus one photo of your stock shelves. This replaces my drawings and makes the store look stocked and real.
  3. Two or three sentences about the business, and one real photo, for an About page.
  4. Please confirm the promises the site makes.30-day returns on uncut blanks, a free recut if a key we cut doesn't work, and shipping the next business day.
  5. Which lock code series you can cut today, and on which machine.
  6. After launch: ask customers for reviews. Both reviewers say real reviews are what gets a store from about 8.6 to 9.

My recommendation

Design 1, Clean. It scores about 8 with both reviewers (7.9 and 8.1), the highest combined score, and works for locksmiths and first-timers alike. Bold is just as good for bulk buyers but harder for first-timers. Guided is the easiest for first-timers but the weakest for bulk buyers.
